A Busy Long Weekend.

We trekked to Goshen for the long 4th of July weekend.  It was a super busy and super fun time.  I figured posting a few (ok lots and lots) of photos would be a good way to document all of our adventures.

We spent on afternoon at a local park.  Alex went down a slide all by himself - even thought he looks unsure about it, he really did enjoy it.

He loved trying to do the rings too.  Daddy only helped a little bit.

Oma entertained the big kids for hours with some cool play-doh crafts.

Alex is now pulling up on furniture whenever possible.

Alex loved playing with his big cousin Eliza, and she did a fantastic job of entertaining him.

On Saturday, we had brunch at Lake Wawasee and then headed over to the beach on Lake Syracuse.  Uncle Greg entertained the boys for quite some time in the water.

The two boys did so great together.

And there's this pretty sweet girl.

Cousin Dan stopped by and gave the kiddos a cool ride in a convertible.

The men were standing guard.

Uncle Greg's work-outs typically involved a kid or two attached to his ankles.

Saturday night we went to Aunt Lisa and Uncle Breck's house for a bonfire and s'mores.  Aren't these kiddos adorable?!?!?

And then there's this guy...

Alex wasn't so sure about the grass...he tried to minimize his contact.

The evening included a raucous game of football/chase/catch.  I've never seen our boy run as hard or fast or as long!  Here's the team picture.

We tried to impede Uncle Greg's departure, to no avail.

Our trip home involved a stop at the McDonald's at the oasis.  Alien Clayton showed up for a brief visit.

In the midst of all of these activities, I neglected to take a "real" week 50 photo, so this one will have to do.
