The move seemed to work. At the beginning of this week, it seemed as though Clayton had begun to figure out the difference between night and day. For about 4-5 days in a row, he was sleeping for increasingly longer stretches after being put down - sometimes going as long as 5-6 hours! It's amazing how refreshing a 5 hour stretch of sleep can seem! Unfortunately, this behavior does not seem to be solidified in Clayton's repertoire yet - last night he only made it 3 1/2 hours before his first feeding. So...I guess we'll keep trying. Here's hoping he gets it down more consistently before I have to return to work. Luckily - our boy is generally happy and smiley, which makes our sleep deprived state more tolerable.
We did some traveling to visit family yesterday. The first stop was to introduce Clayton to his Great-grandma Olsta. As you can see, she has not lost her touch with the babies.
The visit allowed us to take the 4-generation picture. Included are Greatgrandma Olsta, Daddy, Clayton and Grandpa Olsta.
Then we trekked across Chicago to visit Aunt Lisa, Uncle Breck and cousins Eliza & Leo for a celebration of Eliza's 3rd birthday! Here's Eliza posing with the cool cute Lady Bug cake her Mom made.
Of course, we had to take a picture of the 3 cousins together. Looking pretty cute, don't you think. Here's hoping that they all remain as sweet as they are now and don't gang up against us parents in the future.
Here's a picture of the two boys checking each other out. At this point - they seem a little unsure of each other. Oma and Opa Koop were also visiting - we missed Uncle Greg.
This weekend marks Clayton's First Halloween. I know it's silly, but we couldn't resist getting Clayton a costume to just wear around the house (ok - we may take him out to score his parents some treats).
Finally, here is the official 7 week (and one day) picture. Please note the the khaki pants - it's the first time Clayton's worn real-looking pants. Talk about a cutie little boy!
By the way - I think I fixed the posting situation. So for those of you checking out our pics - leave us a note!
