It's Summertime in the City

With the Memorial Day holiday, it was a short week.  But we did a lot of photo-worthy activities apparently.  I think summer may finally have come to Milwaukee.  So we spent a great deal of time outdoors.

To start the photo spread - just a bit of documentation of Clayton's skills at this point.  Ryan has Clayton practice writing his name most weekend.  This was last weekend's attempt.  Pretty good, eh?

Alex likes to practice getting into his brother's toys.  He's a pro already.

The weather was beautiful so we ate outdoors.  Alex seemed to love his first backyard BBQ.

We were also able to open up the sandbox and do some good digging.

Clayton loved having a Pic-i-nic too.

We had an absolutely wonderful Memorial Day.  We trekked down to the beach first thing and had the whole lakefront to ourselves.

Clayton wanted to take his shirt off to be just like Daddy.

The next photo is a bit misleading - Alex is not really doing much with his walker yet, but he will stand if set up initially.

Our Friday night Hollander dinners as outdoors too.

Clayton helped out by pushing Alex home.

Another first for Alex on Saturday - we ventured to a Brewers game.  Fortunately, Nana and Papa were willing to come with us to help entertain the boys.

I promise Clayton was a tad more excited than this picture may suggest.

In fact, he promised all of our seat-mates that he would protect us all by catching any foul balls.  Fortunately, we didn't have to test his skill.

But Clayton clearly loves Bernie Brewer!

I can't believe it - but Alex is 45 weeks old!

Oh. I am jealous! It looks like you had a wonderful time this past weekend - good weather and great kids, eating outside at Hollanders - summer has arrived. Wish we could have been there too. I am always delighted to see the antics of Clayton and Ales! Thanks for keeping up the blog!
