Why is it so tough to get back into routine? Maybe because daycare was closed again due to the "Polar Vortex" Oh, and it certainly didn't help that our little Alex became one sick kiddo rapidly after getting home. He was coughing pretty badly on Tuesday. After a late evening visit to the pediatrician, we found out he had double ear infections, double eye infections and bronchiolitis! That's a lot of crud for one tiny boy. Especially since he never even really lost his smile. He looks sick, don't you think?
Clayton was his usual delightful self and tried to help take care of Baby Alex. He's also fun just to chat with. One night we were sitting at dinner and he suddenly said,
C- "Mama, I think that we are more than 5 miles from the zoo."
M - "Really, why?"
C - "I can't hear any lions roaring."
M - "Oh, like in your book where it says that a lion's roar can be heard for 5 miles?"
C - "Yeah. Did you know that?"
There are so many other enjoyable interactions and delightful thoughts and stories. I really need to get better at writing them down.
Alex is becoming better and better at sitting. He's really come to enjoy playing with the penguin that Uncle Greg gave to Clayton years ago.
Here's my adorable 28-week old sicko kid! :)
