It's finally here...Summer

This spring has been unseasonably cool and wet.  But we've still managed to spend some time outdoors - weather permitting.  Just a few photos of the past month or so.

Ryan's best friend Klaus made his annual trek north for a weekend.  Here are the two "grown men" ready for dinner at a new Milwaukee restaurant.

The annual Downer Classic Bike Races were the same weekend.  Despite a brisk wind, Clayton loved watching the bikes zoom by!

We've made it to the park several times.  Despite some spills along the trek there resulting in some impressive knee abrasions, Clalyton still loves to swing. 

 Chicken smalls imminent arrival did not stop me from attending a New Kids on the Block concert with friends.  A co-worker lent me her vintage concert t-shirt, that some how fit over my belly!  While the music left much to be desired, it was a fun night out with friends.

And finally, a few pictures from this morning.  We walked down the street to meet up with some friends and join them in the neighborhood 4th of July parade.  Hundreds of children on bikes accompanied by parents and others meander down the boulevard behind a band, police cars/motorcycles and fire engine.

The parade ends at Lake Park where Clayton got to check out the engine up close.

All of the kids got little cups of ice cream.  We ran into several of Clayton's daycare classmates.
