Getting back into our regular schedule after getting home from Oklahoma on the Monday after Thanksgiving was tough. We got back into the swing of things again though. Since we were out of town for the first advent, we decided to decorate and put up our tree the weekend of the 2nd advent.
Clayton dressed for the occasion in his favorite Mickey Mouse shirt, ND football pants, super hero mask and stocking. He was a bit frustrated trying to find the right book in our advent calendar.
Clayton loved decorating the tree. I have to admit that I may have arranged a few of his ornaments from the one branch on which he initially hung them all.
We did, however, leave his placement of colored bulbs. The twin purple and red looked good together.
Alex did a great job of supervising. Here's his official 20 week photo.
Clayton had an awesome experience of riding the Polar Express with Nana, Papa and Daddy. Here's the whole group with the two train conductors.
Sitting on the train.
The train went all the way to the North Pole and met Santa!
Despite that fun start, the week that followed was a bit rougher. Alex has been quite fussy and continued to not sleep well. He had been sleeping through the night for the past couple months, but over the last two weeks has been waking 3-4 times per night! Then, he came down with a horrible cough on Monday, which was diagnosed as "borderline croup." He seems a bit better now - still has coughing fits and is quite congested, but no longer sounds like a barking seal!
By mid week, he was feeling a bit more like himself. Here's a photo of my two dinner helpers.
Alex has loved playing with his new toys that he got from Nana and Papa. I don't know that the lion nose was meant to be eaten, but it seems to entertain Alex.
We had snow the other day. Clayton helped out with the shoveling.
The big news of the week was that Alex's first tooth broke through his gum today and he tried cereal for the first time.
And, our smiley-once-again, 21-week old!

A first tooth and first time cereal all in one week! It was a momentous week. Clayton looks ready to tackle anything in his tree decorating attire. Great pictures of your smiling boys again. Can't wait to see you all next week!
