A quick update on recent firsts

We received Clayton's spring "report card" last week.  Notable comments were: "He is able to use complete sentences and have conversations with teachers" and "He gives messages to friends."  Neither Ryan nor I have any clue what kind of "messages" he's giving others.  We do know that he likes to stand and point at the other kids while they're getting a diaper changed and yell "NAKED!"  Yes, that's our boy!

It is nice to get these reports because Ryan and I always seem to learn something new about Clayton.  For example, we didn't realize that he was close to jumping with two feet nor did we realize he was ready to start riding a tricycle!  The weather has finally been nice once again - so I pulled out the tricycle that Aunt Robin, Uncle Mike, Avery and Gavin were nice enough to give us (and Nana and Papa were nice enough to drive up from Oklahoma).  Anyway - even though this picture makes it look like he can - Clayton's not quite pedaling independently yet.  But he LOVES riding on it and, despite my admonishments, yelling "Let go" and going hands free!  Don't worry - he's only been out twice without a helmet.  Trust me, buying one is on my short list!

He likes to just push the bike too, but yells "not in the grass!" when it veers out of line.  Hmmm, where'd he hear that?

He's getting pretty adept at walking up and down stairs on his own while just holding on to the railing.
