There was much about this week that was just befuddling (if that's not a real word - all the better to characterize my confusion this week). The first - Wisconsin weather. We returned from Florida to a relative warm and sunny day in Wisconsin, only to experience HAIL (yes you read that correctly) and lots of it on Sunday. Just a few photos from our front window.
We also learned on Sunday that Clayton cut his second tooth - the lower right central one. We thought that the pain associated with teething may have been the reason for his extremely poor sleep in Florida. He seemed to support this theory by sleeping 11 hours straight on Monday night. We were ecstatic - for about 12 hours, until the next night when he reverted to his 5 hour sleep stretches. It's been back and forth all week - 5 hours stretches one night, followed by 9 hours, followed by 4 hours...who knows what's going on. I have conceded any and all illusions I might have had about understanding his sleep habits.
Since returning home, it's just been fun to see Clayton play with his toys again.
He loves his maracas - and with Dad's help plays both simultaneously.
We've also started playing catch with him. He, of course, doesn't understand much other than the fact that he loves getting hit in the belly with the ball! Don't you just love that face?
His new favorite toy may be the blue box. He works very quickly to empty it completely so that he can turn it upside down and bang on it. That entertains him for 30 minutes at a time.
Clayton continues to be a great eater. He now eats a container of a veggie and a container of a fruit (each 3.5 ounces) for lunch and dinner. I also gave him a little chunk of a banana in this teething thing someone gave me.
Although the week started with hail storm, it ended with a 70+ degree day. Clayton and I walked to the park where he tried out the swing for the first time. We didn't stay too long, but I think we're looking forward to the next trip.
Finally, two photos of Clayton at 30 weeks (aka 7 months).

Love the parallel between the weather and baby sleep. You hit it on the nose. As always, cute cute boy!
